Welcome to Ginerations!

Hi, welcome to Ginerations, and to my inaugural post.

If you love gin, kind of like gin, think only your grandmother drinks gin, or think gin tastes like Pine-Sol (for non-Americans, that’s a ccropped-FullSizeRender-1.jpgleansing product that smells heavily of pine), you’ve come to the right place! Yep, all of you.

I have a deep, but relatively new passion for gin. I’m not an industry expert, just a cocktail enthusiast, but wow, am I enthusiastic about gin. London Dry, Old Tom, New American, Genever…the whole gin portfolio.

I’m going to talk with you about gin – the incredible history, the explosion of gins in recent years, the people who craft the gin, pour the gin – all of it. And, perhaps along the way, convince you that it’s pretty special indeed. That today’s gin is not your grandmother’s gin. And not the cheap stuff you drank in college.  Well, frankly, that stuff is probably still around, but you’ve grown up, right?

I can’t wait to hear your comments, thoughts and suggestions along the way. Thanks again for reading, and I can’t wait to get started. Cheers!
